The CPCS (A31) ride on roller course is aimed at operatives of rides on rollersThis CPCS course covers both the practical and theoretical aspects of operating a ride-on roller, culminating in the CPCS technical test. Rider on roller operatives with less than two years of consistent experience must attend the Foundation and Novice course, whilst those with more than two years of recent and consistent experience may apply for the Experienced Worker course for 2 days.Both lead to the same CPCS certification in this category, the Red CPCS card, though the Experienced Worker course is slightly shorter in duration and covers the subject in less detail than the ride and rollers training courses. All delegates must have passed the CITB Health, Safety, and Environment test within the last two years prior to the commencement date of the course. Those who get the CPCS Red Card must retrain within two years to maintain their qualification or obtain the NVQ Level 2 in Plant Operations to upgrade to the CPCS Blue Competence card.
